Reinventing the Marketing Function of a Global Consumer Health and Hygiene Organization
Challenge: A global consumer health and hygiene products company was aggressively pursuing its Global Business Plan focused on building key capabilities to sustain growth. With the first-ever Chief Marketing Officer and the goal of creating a legendary marketing organization, Ketchum Pleon Change partnered with our client to accelerate the awareness of a new vision and global marketing philosophy from a decentralized to a centralized function and drive adoption of a core set of marketing principles and tools.
Solution: Ketchum Pleon Change conducted a change readiness assessment to identify current successes and future changes needed to drive the organization's global capability. We utilized a variety of data-collection techniques, including leadership interviews, a survey of all Marketing employees, and a thorough review of the current state of what was communicated in the Marketing organization. Data collection informed the development of simple and focused tools, such as a "Change Readiness Scorecard" and a "Leaders in Change" course to help leaders rapidly move to action planning
Results: Assessment results inspired leaders to action as Ketchum Pleon Change collaborated with our clients to build out the evolved Global Marketing brand and vision. We also established and communicated the associated employee behaviors to drive mission realization and increased training opportunities by establishing the first-ever Global Marketing University. Employees have demonstrated early adoption of a global marketing function that uses common tools and approaches to influence consumer purchasing behavior and measures results consistently.
